Through initiatives like the High School Summit, Communities Will Connect provides a platform for students to explore STEM fields, fostering the next generation of changemakers equipped to address real-world challenges.

Position Overview: Communities Will Connect is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Program Manager to spearhead the planning and execution of our High School Summit. This annual hybrid event gathers high school students from across Africa, offering them a transformative experience through workshops, inspirational talks, and networking opportunities. As the Program Manager, you will play a pivotal role in bringing this vision to life and empowering young minds to become effective changemakers.


  • Program Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to shape the vision and content of the High School Summit, ensuring alignment with the organization\'s mission and goals.
  • Design an engaging and inclusive curriculum that incorporates digital skills, STEM education, and empowerment themes.
  • Project Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans encompassing timelines, milestones, and resource requirements for successfully implementing the High School Summit.
  • Lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary team to deliver a seamless and impactful event.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with schools, educators, sponsors, and other partners to enhance the reach and impact of the High School Summit.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for program-related inquiries and foster positive collaborations with participants.
  • Budget Management: Work closely with the finance team to develop and manage the program budget, ensuring efficient resource utilization while maintaining program quality.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation: Implement robust monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to assess the effectiveness of the High School Summit, collecting feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Analyze data and prepare reports on program outcomes for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Event Coordination: Oversee all aspects of event planning and execution, including logistics, participant engagement, and ensuring a safe and inclusive environment.
  • Safer Internet Day Coordination: Collaborate with relevant teams to plan and execute Safer Internet Day activities on February 11th, aligning them with the organization\'s mission and objectives.


  • Must have good working experience and attitude.
  • Proven experience in program management, with a focus on educational or youth development programs.
  • Strong project management skills, demonstrating success in planning and executing events.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
  • Knowledge of STEM education and digital skills initiatives.
