About

Each year, sixteen exceptional individuals are selected to participate in this five-month fellowship. The program is designed to provide these talented professionals with the opportunity to engage with prominent Yale faculty, leading international experts, and a diverse cohort of peers. Through interactive sessions, remote learning journeys, and in-person gatherings, the Climate Fellows will explore the latest advancements, challenges, and policy solutions in the realm of climate change and clean energy transition.

Eligibility

  1. Professional Experience: Applicants should be between five and 10 years into their professional careers, with demonstrated accomplishments at a regional, national, or international level.
  2. Global South Representation: The program is open to applicants who are representatives of the Global South, including developing countries in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America/Caribbean.
  3. English Proficiency: Applicants must be fluent in English, as an excellent command of the language is essential for successful participation in the program.
  4. Availability: Climate Fellows must be available to fully participate in the two-week in-person components of the program: the Yale Orientation week (April 7-11, 2025) and the Paris closing week (September 15-19, 2025). They must also be available for the five remote learning journeys scheduled between May and July 2025.
